Alien Ghost Stories - Baitu

Decided to write a few ghost stories from various alien cultures for Halloween. This was the only one I was able to finish on time. A couple more coming soon, though.

Name: Baitu, The Pale Drid

Culture of origin: Drid, ~300 B.F.

Lore: Baitu was once a female whose mate was horribly abusive. He eventually beat her to death, leaving her spirit unsettled and vengeful. Baitu's spirit now searches for other abusive males to haunt. She will linger about them for weeks, slowly driving them insane, until she steals the abuser's soul in his sleep. Whether or not Baitu got revenge on her own mate depends on the version of the story.

Some of you may remember when Tari dressed as Baitu for Halloween a few years ago.
